Pipelife divests Pipelife M-Plast Oy, Finland
Vienna, March 16, 2006
Pipelife has divested Pipelife M-Plast OY, Finland to the plant manager, Mr Kyösti Hakkarainen and the Finnish venture capital company OKO Venture Capital Ltd as of March 16, 2006. M-Plast Ltd develops, manufactures and markets EPS-based insulation products for the needs of the construction industry in Finland.

Niels Rune Solgaard-Nielsen, the COO of Pipelife North Europe commented: “The divestment of Pipelife M-Plast OY was another step of the Pipelife Group to focus on its core business, the production and distribution of high quality plastic pipe systems for various applications, such as sewage, soil, water, electro, agriculture and others.”

Pipelife M-Plast had net sales of 8,4mEUR in 2005 with 14 employees.

The Pipelife Group, one of the world's leading producers of Plastic Pipes and Fittings, is present in 27 countries with 28 production units around the world. In 2005 it had net sales of 712MEUR with 2800 employees. Pipelife has its headquarters in Vienna, Austria and is a Joint-Venture between Solvay of Belgium and Wienerberger of Austria.

OKO Venture Capital Ltd is a subsidiary of OKO Bank, OKO Venture Capital Ltd is a venture capital company whose main focus areas are the M&A and growth funding within the SME-sector.
