Gas

Pipelife is a major supplier of polyethylene and (ductile) PVC systems for gas distribution networks. In polyethylene (PE 80 and PE 100) Pipelife is recognized as a leading European
manufacturer. Pipelife manufactures and supplies a wide range of pipes and fittings from 20 mm to 400 mm. Pipes are produced in accordance to local national standards and certified by internationally recognized institutions such as GDF, DVGW and ÖVGW.Unique to the Gas Industry, Pipelife also manufactures and supplies a complete pipe system in PVC (POLSAFE) for low-pressure distribution under 0.2 bar.
Pipelife cares very much about safety, but especially for products for the gas industry. Therefore Pipelife offers various safety systems, like the Gas Stop, to prevent gas leakage which may cause serious threats to both human life and property.

Gas Stop
The Pipelife Gas Stop is the result of intensive research and development work carried out in cooperation with many gas supply companies. The idea behind this first class safety device is to eliminate the risk of uncontrolled leakage of gas resulting from damaged service pipes, which causes serious threats to both human life and property. If a service pipe is damaged, e.g. by a mechanical digger, the Gas Stop Valve is activated within a fraction of a second and stops the gas flow through the pipe, thus preventing the uncontrolled gas leaks.

Polsafe
The Polsafe system is a complete program of pipes and fittings of Ductile PVC for low pressure gas distribution. A special element is the saddle tee with a self-sealing valve, preventing gas from escaping when making house connections or repairs. The service line
is connected to the saddle tee with an end thrust joint.
The Polsafe system is easy to install and offers remarkable reduction of installation time. Experience of 35 years without field failures!
