Usually our pipe solutions go unseen - they are burried for infrastructure projects, hidden in walls, ceilings and floors of buildings, covered up by plants in agriculture or even submerged under the sea.
This time, however, they are in the spotlight and serve as carrier of art and architecture at the MAK (museum of applied arts) exhibition "SPACE AND EXPERIENCE: Architecture for Better Living" in Vienna, which gives insight into a wide range of approaches in contemporary architecture.
Exibition designers Chieh-shu Tzou and Gregorio Santamaria at Tzou Lubroth Architekten used white Pipelife pipes for displaying all their 23 projects.
And in case you were wondering, here is what you need to build a beautiful pipe wall just as at the MAK:
- 780 pieces 4-meter-long Pipelife soil pipe PP HT OD50, RAL color 9016, customized without socket.
- 2600 pieces of Pipelife gripper clamps TKSL50
The exhibition is a cooperation with MAK and Wienerberger on the occasion of 200 years of Wienerberger, Pipelife's mother company. It is complemented by a presentation on the cultural-historical significance of Wienerberger.
If you happen to be in Vienna, drop by and see if you can find other products by Wienerberger! The exhibition runs from May 29th to October 6th 2019.
