Pipelife around the World - January 2014

End of November 2013 the most tragic accident since the Latvian independence occurred in Riga when the roof of a Maxima supermarket located in Zolitūde collapsed. So far it is not known what caused the disaster, but various theories are still under investigation.

As the Baltic countries have always been united the Estonian Red Cross immediately started collecting money for the affected children. The disaster killed 54 people at which 16 children lost one parent and 3 children even lost both parents and became orphans from one second to another.

Pipelife’s donation to the Estonian Red Cross will support the victims of this tragedy and help the relief organization to continue their aid work.
