A new housing development of 660 A-rated, low energy, low CO2 houses is now under way in Glanmire, Co. Cork with development and construction being carried out by the O' Flynn Group. The Ballinglanna development contains a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses, with an emphasis on high quality design and finishes throughout. It includes innovative and modern heating system with high levels of insulation which, with the use of renewable energy from quality construction methods, will provide maximum comfort throughout all seasons. Pipelife Ireland will supply the full heating system consisting of an Air-To-Water Heat Pump and Underfloor Heating for this development.
The central heating system is a modern Hitachi air source heat pump. The system provides energy efficient and responsive central heating and large capacity hot water storage. Pipelife Ireland's new Qual-Pex Plus+ 'Easy-Lay' Multilayer Pipe will be installed for the Underfloor Heating on the ground floor with High output radiators on the first floor areas. These will work in conjunction with modern zoned heating controls.
The new Qual-Pex Plus+ Easy-Lay Pipe is a revolutionary new product. The essential feature of the new pipe that differentiates it against other products on the market is that it is really flat-lay making it easier to handle and install. The one thing that Pipelife has always prided itself on, is the full support customers receive in terms of product and installation support.
Declan Kiely Plumbing & Heating commented:
"We have a long relationship with Pipelife going back to the early days when they first introduced Qual-Pex Pipe to the market. The fact that the pipe is manufactured on site is a big plus for me. When I'm using their new Qual-Pex Plus+ 'Easy-Lay' pipe I know that I am installing a quality product manufactured by a trusted leader. This allows me to install with more confidence."
Padjoe Barry, National Sales Manager at Pipelife says:
